This Privacy Policy describes how Wind Compass Pro ("we," "our," or "the App") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Location Data

With your explicit permission, the App collects precise location data (GPS) and approximate location data (network-based) to:

• Fetch real-time local weather and wind data from the Open-Meteo weather service.
• Calculate the Qibla (prayer) direction relative to your current position.
• Display your city and country name using BigDataCloud's reverse geocoding service.

Location data is transmitted to third-party APIs (Open-Meteo, BigDataCloud) solely for these purposes. We do not store or log your location on our own servers.

b. Device Sensor Data

The App accesses your device's magnetometer (compass), accelerometer, and gyroscope to provide the digital compass functionality. All sensor processing occurs locally on your device. No sensor data is transmitted externally.

c. Advertising ID

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID for personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising via your device's Settings → Google → Ads, or by using the "Opt out of Ads Personalization" option within the App where applicable.

d. User Preferences

The App stores your preferences (wind unit, turbine calculator settings, alert rules) locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences and WebView LocalStorage. This data never leaves your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Location: Exclusively to provide core app functionality (weather, Qibla, location name).
• Advertising ID: To serve advertisements via Google AdMob, which helps keep the App free.
• Sensor Data: Exclusively for real-time compass and turbine animation rendering.

Note: Open-Meteo provides free weather data without API keys and does not log personal information. BigDataCloud's reverse geocoding is used without an API key for basic location name lookups.

4. Data Storage & Security

All user preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain any backend servers or user databases. Your location data is sent in real-time to weather/geocoding APIs and is not retained by us.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

6. Your Rights & Choices

• Location Permissions: Revoke location access at any time via device Settings → Apps → Wind Compass Pro → Permissions.
• Ad Personalization: Opt out via Google Settings → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization."
• Data Deletion: To delete all locally stored data (preferences, settings, alert rules), go to your device Settings → Apps → Wind Compass Pro → Storage → Clear Data. Alternatively, uninstall the app. No personal data is stored on external servers.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected with the "Last Updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page regularly.
