This privacy policy applies to the mobile application “ocean weather sea temperature” (package: com.marawan.oceanpulse.pro), developed by Ahmed Soltan. We take your privacy seriously. This document explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Information we access

a. Location data (approximate & precise): With your explicit permission, the app accesses your device’s location (via GPS or network) solely to provide weather forecasts, sea temperature, and nearby water body information. Location data is sent to the third‑party weather API Open‑Meteo (https://open‑meteo.com) to retrieve local weather and marine data. We do not store your location on our servers.

b. Advertising ID: The app displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use the device’s advertising ID to serve personalised or non‑personalised ads. You can reset or opt‑out of interest‑based ads in your device’s Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

c. Purchase data: When you make an in‑app purchase (e.g., “Remove All Ads”), the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details (credit card, etc.) – all billing information is handled securely by Google.

2. How we use the information

Location: To display current weather, wind, humidity, sea temperature, and to show the nearest sea/ocean on the map.
Advertising ID: To display banner, interstitial and rewarded video ads through Google AdMob, which helps support the app.
Purchase data: To verify and unlock the “Remove All Ads” feature permanently after a one‑time payment.

We do not trade or share your personal information with anyone except the third parties necessary for the app to function (Open‑Meteo for weather data, Google for ads and billing).

4. Permissions required

android.permission.INTERNET – to fetch weather data and ads.
android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION – to provide accurate weather and sea information based on your current location.
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – to check connectivity before loading data.
com.android.vending.BILLING – to process the “Remove All Ads” purchase.

5. Children’s privacy

This app is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

6. Data retention and deletion

The app does not create user accounts and does not store any personal data on external servers. Weather data is fetched in real time and not stored. Advertising preferences are managed by Google on your device. If you uninstall the app, all local data is removed.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. You are advised to review this page periodically.
